Join Professor Mchenga for her program to Malawi in May 2026. Because of the hospitality and friendliness of its people, Malawi has been called the “Warm Heart of Africa.” Malawi has diverse and deep cultural roots and the Bantu migrations of the 15th century have had a profound impact on the local population. This heritage is reflected mostly in local languages and cultures but also in the food, music, dance and art that punctuate everyday life in Malawi.
