University supports homeless student scholarship program

Fitchburg State will support homeless students as part of the Commonwealth’s “Moving to College” scholarship program, designed to support unaccompanied homeless youth from the state as they embark on a college degree.

Fitchburg State will hold the long-awaited virtual commencement ceremony for the May 2020 graduates tonight at 6:30 p.m. The video celebrations, organized by academic school, will go live at 6:30 p.m.

Professor co-authors pandemic playbook for kids

The funny, irreverent chapter book for young readers was co-authored by Professor Katharine Covino-Poutasse from the English Studies Department. Topics include technology, how to take a break from screens, strategies for focusing on schoolwork, and suggestions to help kids feel better.
