Part of your college experience is getting involved. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities offered outside the classroom, whether you join a club, attend events, volunteer, or seek employment.
There are currently about 85+ active clubs and organizations on campus. They range from large, general organizations like the Student Government Association (SGA) and Fitchburg Activities Board (FAB), to smaller, more niche organizations like Quidditch club or Exercise and Sports Science club. Starting a new club is also always an option.
To learn more about all our clubs check out FalConnect. You can login to FalConnect through login.fitchburgstate.edu or directly at falconnect.fitchburgstate.edu/.

Hammond Hall Campus Center
Commuter Affairs
Center for Diversity and Inclusiveness
Fitchburg State has two fraternities and three sororities on campus:
The Leadership Development program enhances students’ post-graduation marketability. We provide opportunities for students to work on their teamwork, communication, decision making, and organizational skills, to name a few. Some examples include an Emerging Leaders Retreat and the Falcon Certification Program. We also celebrate our student leaders and student organizations yearly at our Annual Recognition Night!
Fitchburg Community Outreach Center (FCOC)
The Fitchburg Community Outreach Center (formerly the Volunteer Center) on campus is home to our Falcon Bazaar and Professional Clothing Closet. Here, students can “shop” (for free) for food/necessities and/or professional clothing for internships or interviews. You can access a list of local food pantries here. The FCOC also oversees multiple volunteer opportunities in the Fitchburg and surrounding areas.
Flock to the Weekend
Get ready to make your weekends unforgettable! Flock to the Weekend brings exciting programming to all Fitchburg State students every Thursday night, with select events on Fridays, Saturdays and even Sundays. From social and entertainment experiences to educational, cultural, creative, and recreational events, there’s something for everyone.
Clubs and organizations can take their events to the weekend and receive extra support—including food, merchandise, and funding—to make the experience even better. Participating groups are automatically entered into a raffle for additional promotion and a surprise incentive from the Office of Student Engagement to bring their ideas to life. Proposals that showcase engaging, inclusive programming designed to connect with a wide range of various student audiences will receive special consideration, so let your creativity shine and help make Flock to the Weekend the highlight of campus life!
To get started on any programming initiatives, please email the Office of Student Engagement at studentengagement@fitchburgstate.edu.
