The Chemistry with Initial Teacher Licensure concentration prepares students to be high school chemistry teachers.
The program provides a strong background in the modern areas of chemistry including biochemistry with an emphasis on hands-on laboratory work. The initial teacher licensure concentration also provides the opportunity for exceptionally talented students to conduct independent research under the guidance of the faculty.
The purpose of the student teaching internship is to provide candidates who have reached the teacher candidacy stage of their academic programs with hands-on experience in an approved school setting.Read more about: Internships
