Romance Languages Minor

The minor in Romance languages offers students the opportunity to incorporate knowledge of Italian, Spanish and French languages and culture into their program of study. In our increasingly global world, this may be particularly valuable. Students will achieve a proficiency in one of the languages, and become acquainted with a second language. Students will also be exposed to literary, historical and artistic developments of the relative countries.

The minor in Romance languages requires a minimum of 18 credits in two of the three Romance languages. 1000-level courses can be counted for only ONE of the languages. The student may enter the language sequence above the 1000 level by demonstrating their proficiency through testing, and permission of the instructor.
