American Studies Minor

The interdisciplinary minor in American studies provides an opportunity for students to explore the culture life of the United States throughout its history. In American studies courses, students apply methods drawn from diverse academic disciplines, including literature, history, music, art history, economics, political science, geography, folklore, communication, and media studies.

The minor will require a minimum of six courses or 18 credits. The minor also includes three elective courses, two of which must be at the 3000-level or above. Students must select these with their advisor.
