  • All occupants of a room will split damage charges evenly if one or more roommates do not claim responsibility.
  • In building/hall common areas (hallways, bathrooms, lounges, etc.), charges will be shared by all who have access to those areas and are not appealable.

FINAL TIPS TO MAKE MOVING OUT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE

  • Start packing and cleaning EARLY – don’t wait until the last minute. It always takes longer to pack than you think it will.
  • Move belongings home in advance in stages if at all possible.
  • Coordinate your ride home well in advance (if needed).
  • Talk with your roommate about who is responsible for any damages in your room BEFORE departing or checking out (if not returning to that room).
  • If you need a bin, make sure you are checking out at a time that they are available.
  • If you need to stay late, be sure you register to do so. Otherwise, your access will shut off to your room and building.
