  • All occupants of a room will split damage charges evenly if one or more roommates do not claim responsibility.
  • In building/hall common areas (hallways, bathrooms, lounges, etc.), charges will be shared by all who have access to those areas and are not appealable.

FINAL TIPS TO MAKE MOVING OUT AS EASY AS POSSIBLE

  • Start packing and cleaning early to avoid last-minute rush: the process typically takes longer than anticipated.
  • Consider moving your belongings home gradually in stages for a smoother transition.
  • Coordinate your ride home well in advance, especially if transportation assistance is needed.
  • Discuss responsibility for any room damage with your roommate before departing or checking out, particularly if not returning to the same room.
  • Ensure bin availability by planning your departure or check out at a time when they are accessible if one is needed (prior to Dec. 21, bins will only be available to be checked out from main housing during weekday business hours, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.).
  • If planning to stay late, be sure to register to continue access to your room and building, failure to register will result in access denial.
