OneCard Office

What's a OneCard?

Fitchburg State Mr. Falcon's OneCardWhen you come to Fitchburg State as a new student or employee, you'll get a OneCard. This is your official Fitchburg State University identification card and you'll use it to access many services around campus—it's your library card, recreation center pass, meal card, door key, access to campus events and more. You can store funds on your card so you can pay for things around campus without carrying cash. OneCards are issued by the OneCard Office.

COVID-19 Pandemic Note:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the OneCard office is by appointment only until further notice.  To promote social distancing and avoid large crowds, we ask that you schedule an appointment with us. You must bring one form of a photo ID with you to obtain a OneCard (license, passport, etc.). Before scheduling an appointment, please review the ‘How Do I Get My OneCard’ section below to determine if you need to visit us. When you arrive at the OneCard office, we ask that you wear a face mask and maintain physical distance with others. There are dots on the ground to help identify a comfortable 6-foot distance.

*Please note: New students do not need to visit the OneCard office to obtain a OneCard.  Commuter OneCards will be mailed to you in late August.  New students living in a residence hall will be given a OneCard upon check-in with Housing.

How Do I Get My OneCard?

New Students

This fall we are printing OneCard’s without photos. This will eliminate the need for new students to visit the OneCard office to have a photo taken. Commuter student OneCards will be mailed at the end of August. Students living in a residence hall will be given their card during move-in. Please check with the Housing office for move-in details. After the second week of classes, if you choose to have a OneCard with a photo, please schedule an appointment. Please bring your photo-less card to the OneCard office to have it exchanged for free.

New Faculty & Staff

If you are a new faculty or staff member and haven’t received a OneCard yet, or need to replace a photo-less card, please schedule an appointment with the OneCard Office.

Existing Faculty & Staff

Please contact the OneCard office by email or phone first to see if your request or issue can be handled remotely. If you do need to visit us (e.g. to replace a damaged or lost card) please schedule an appointment with the OneCard Office.

Extended Campus OneCard—for online graduate students only

An Extended Campus OneCard is available to Graduate and Continuing Education students who are unable to obtain a photo OneCard due to their course location. The Extended Campus card is only available to individuals taking classes at remote locations.

Please complete this form to request your Extended Campus OneCard.

The Extended Campus card will be accepted as a valid student ID, however individuals are encouraged to have a photo OneCard taken whenever possible and may do so by visiting the OneCard Office.

Note: Extended Campus OneCards are not available to faculty/staff or students taking classes on the Fitchburg State University campus. For security reasons, faculty/staff and all students attending classes on the Fitchburg State University campus need a OneCard with a photo.
