Printing from Your Device

Mobile printing enables you to send print jobs securely from your mobile device to a student Ricoh multi-functional device (MFD). Once you send your print job, you'll have 24 hours to release the document at one of the student Ricoh MFD locations on campus. After 24 hours, it will be purged from the printing system. There are three ways to print from a mobile device: Email Print, Mobility Print, and Web Upload Print. Please note: Email Print is the only option available when printing from off campus.
  1. From your student Gmail account, send your document as an attachment to the appropriate printing email address:

    Black & White: StudentPrintBW@fitchburgstate.edu
    Color: StudentPrintColor@fitchburgstate.edu

  2. You'll receive an email (typically in under five minutes) when your document is ready to print.

  3. Visit a student Ricoh MFD to release the print job. You'll see your print job in the queue, and from there you can print the email and any attachments.

Email Print Requirements

  • Accepts widely used file formats (e.g. JPEG, DOCX, PDF, etc.) only.
  • There is a 20MB file size limit per email.
  • Paper size and duplexing options are not available.
  • You must convert iOS native application documents (e.g. Pages, Keynote, etc.) and Google Docs before emailing them.

Select your device type from the list below for Mobility Print instructions:

Mobility Print Requirements

Releasing Your Print Job

Once you've sent your document to print, you may pick it up at a print release station. To release your print job, you must use your OneCard or a Guest Card.

To minimize unnecessary contact with printers on campus, you can release your held print jobs using your phone.

  1. Enter https://papercut.fitchburgstate.edu:9192/app in your smartphone’s web browser
  2. Enter your Falcon Key credentials
  3. Tap the Printers button
  4. Select the printer you want to print to. Student printers are:
    • ScienceLowerRicoh
    • ConlonBridgeRicoh
    • StudentLibrary (One Two and Three)
    • MckayLabRicoh
    • PercivalRicoh
  5. On the next screen, you can choose to release your job or cancel. If you choose Release, your document will print to the chosen printer.
  6. You'll see Sent to Printer next to the job. Go to the printer to pick up your printout.

Mobile Print Requirements

  • iPhone/iPad with iOS 5 and newer
  • Android ICS and newer (Chrome recommended)
  1. Go to any Student Ricoh MFD (see Student Printer Locations and Features above).

  2. Swipe your OneCard or Guest Card on the reader mounted on the side.

  3. To display your balance, select Device Functions on the home page.

Released print jobs always deduct from your Print/Copy Quota first. They only deduct from your Fitchburg Gold if your Print/Copy Quota has been completely spent.

Note: The balance displayed is your Print/Copy quota and your Fitchburg Gold combined.

  4. Tap the document you want to print so that the box beside it has a check mark. Your total job cost is displayed at the top of the screen.

  5. Press the Print button on the lower right of the screen. Your document should print from the machine immediately.

  6. Swipe your card through the reader again to log out.

  2. Swipe your OneCard or Guest Card using the attached card reader device.

  3. Your balance is displayed on the top left of the screen.

  4. Select your print job in the list. It will have the name you gave it when you submitted the print job.

You can choose to print individual jobs, or you may select Print All at the bottom right of the screen.

  5. Once you have released your print job, the document will print on the attached printer.

  6. Click the Log out icon in the upper-left of the screen.

Visit the Computer Labs page for a list of lab locations.

Print Quotas

Students are given a $20 print/copy quota each semester. With every print/copy, that amount is depleted. When you've used the full $20, you can put funds on your OneCard Fitchburg Gold account to continue using the printers.

Printing Rates

Service 1st Side 2nd Side
(Duplex)
Black & White Copy/Print $0.05 Free
Color Copy/Print $0.20 Free
Scan (Color) Free N/A

We encourage duplex printing as it makes it cheaper for both the student and the University. The current print/copy quota allows you to print 800 black and white duplex pages, or 400 black and white single-sided pages.

Your print quota balance is displayed under “Summary” on the mobile printing website.
