Congratulations, Class of 2026! This year, Fitchburg State holds its 130th Commencement Exercises, and we are starting the celebration early with our first-ever Graduation and Commencement Fair from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 and 12 to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 26 at the Falcon Pub.

We are inviting all graduating students to participate in this event that will mark the home stretch of your degrees!

At the Graduation and Commencement Fair, you will be able to:
  • Confirm your attendance for graduation
  • Collect your cap and gown (which you can order online). Order your cap and gown by February 22 to receive your regalia at the fair!
  • Learn about the benefits you will receive as Fitchburg State alumni
  • Find out about continuing your education with our School of Graduate, Online and Continuing Education
  • Get your picture taken with Freddy
  • Enter to win giveaways
  • Enjoy free refreshments

This year, we will hold both of our commencement exercises on Saturday, May 16 on the main quadrangle.

  • The Graduate Commencement ceremony will be held at 8 a.m.
  • The Undergraduate Commencement will be held at 2 p.m.

While we are planning to hold these celebrations outdoors with no restrictions on guests, we will also be keeping a close watch on the weather forecast. If severe conditions require us to move the ceremonies indoors, guests will be required to present tickets for admission. Information on how to reserve guest tickets will be shared with graduates in the coming weeks.

We are excited to celebrate your achievements this Spring, and can’t wait to get started on March 25 and 26!
