Nursing Student Loans are need-based loans available to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in nursing. Fitchburg State no longer issues new Nursing Loans.
Existing Nursing Loans are managed by our loan servicer Heartland ECSI.
No interest is charged while the student is in school and is enrolled at least half-time.
When a student leaves Fitchburg State, either by graduating, transferring, withdrawing, or dropping to less than half-time enrollment, they must satisfy their obligation of repaying these loans. Students have a nine-month grace period after they leave school and up to ten years to repay their loans. All statements regarding your loan will come from Heartland ECSI and all payments should be made with them directly.
If you have question about the repayment of your Nursing Loan, please visit the Heartland ECSI website or call 1.888.549.3274.
