Recreation Services

FALL 2020 UPDATE: The Recreation Center is open by reservation this fall. Students may click here to place a reservation. If you have questions regarding recreation services please contact Brad Cohrs at or 978-665-3677.

Recreation Services offers a lot of activities for the students, faculty, and staff, and the heart of where everything takes place is at the Recreation Center.

Whether you're looking to hop on a treadmill, get together with some friends to shoot baskets, or take a group exercise class, you'll find that you can do it at the Rec Center.

Aerobics Studio

This area is home to our many group exercise classes, including those offered through Fitness on Demand. We have a wide array of fitness equipment to meet your needs, including spin bikes, aerobic steps, stretch bands, fitness mats, medicine balls, kettleballs, dumbbells and stability balls. If a class is not full and in session, you are welcome to use the room on your own as well.

Fitness Center

Perhaps our most popular space, the fitness center houses a vast array of cardio equipment, selectorized free weight equipment and a free weight room.

The gymnasium is home to our varsity men's and women's basketball teams. The area can be divided into three distinct courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer or tennis.

Racquetball Courts

We have two racquetball courts that can also be used for wallyball. Racquets, balls and safety goggles are available for checkout through your One Card. If you'd like to make a court reservation, simply call the front desk at 978.665.3683. Reservations can only be made one day in advance.

Indoor Track

Suspended above the gymnasium, the track is 11 laps per mile. In corners of the track you will find free areas for stretching, abdominal work and more.
