Emergency Notifications

What is an Emergency Notification

(Also known as FSU Alerts)

Under the Clery Act, every institution is required to immediately notify the campus community upon confirmation of a significant emergency or dangerous situation occurring on the campus that involves an immediate threat to the health or safety of students or employees. An “immediate” threat as used here includes an imminent or impending threat.

Fitchburg State Alert is setup to send notifications to your Fitchburg State University email by default. Mobile phones, land lines, and additional email addresses must be entered by the user. Login with your Fitchburg State Username and Password (Falcon Key) to begin.

Receive emergency alerts while on campus

University guests can receive emergency SMS text notifications by texting FSUalert to 67283 or 226787 to enroll.

To stop receiving alerts, text STOP to 67283 or 226787.

University constituents are encouraged to enroll at alert.fitchburgstate.edu to receive full communications during an emergency alert. Users enrolled via the SMS opt-in system will not receive general university communications or class cancellation notifications.
