Our residence halls and apartment rooms contain extra-long twin size beds, which require extra-long linens to comfortably fit the mattresses. Housing and Residential Services has made arrangements with a manufacturer, Residence Hall Linens, to reserve these high-quality, affordable, custom-fitted linens to our residents. You should receive a letter and order form during the summer describing the products and special packages that are available. There’s free shipping for all Value Pak orders, and there are more than 23 color combinations available. Plus, linens are delivered to your home during the summer so you don’t have to venture out to the retail stores. Order now for the best selection – popular colors can sell out quickly! Please visit the RHL website or call 1.800.957.4338 for more information.

Residence Hall Linens Program!
All residence halls are equipped with washers and dryers. The fee is $1.75 to wash and $1.75 to dry. Aubuchon Hall, Herlihy, Russell Towers, Mara Village and Townhouse have centralized laundry rooms. All machines have OneCard Readers so you can add Fitchburg Gold funds to your Fitchburg State OneCard to do your laundry. Laundry machines accept OneCard payment only, as of Fall 2009 they are no longer coin-operated. The exceptions are Cedar Street House and North Street which own their own machines and can be used at no cost to the designated building's residents.
Fitchburg State University is now linked to LaundryView with Mac-Gray Corporation. Please visit the LaundryView website and choose your residence hall to see the status of your laundry.
LaundryView is an Internet application that allows you to monitor the status of washers and dryers in connected laundry rooms through a Web browser. LaundryView was developed in response to requests for greater control over laundry activities. Since many people tend to do their laundry during similar time periods, it results in busy laundry rooms. LaundryView's mission is to help you save time by providing information about the current state of laundry room equipment wherever you have access to a browser or email messages.
The Energy Star® rated, high-efficiency machines installed on campus clean effectively, help save time and are gentle on your clothes and the environment! High-efficiency, front loading machines hold more clothes and use less water than conventional laundry equipment saving you time and energy. For best results, use only 2 tbsp. of concentrated HE detergent; it’s specially formulated for high-efficiency machines.
Do you have a stubborn stain, need a refresher or a complete laundry education? Check out The Campus Clothes Line™, a new interactive resource for all things laundry - including: laundry instructions & advice, stain tips, videos, prizes and more!
LaundryView allows you to check the status of machines in your laundry room online without ever setting foot outside your dorm room. And the LaundryView® Text Alerts feature lets you ask the machine for a text message when your cycle is compete. Together they make doing laundry a breeze.
If a machine isn’t working properly, log on to LaundryLinx, and select the problem from a few simple drop-down menus. This, in conjunction with Mac-Gray’s auto-dispatch technology, provides a direct link to your campus service technician so the problem can be addressed quickly. Or, if you would rather speak to someone, call 1.800.MAC.GRAY (800.622.4729) for friendly customer service from one of our specially-trained Customer Care Representatives.
