Request a Transcript

Fitchburg State University has authorized Parchment, a third-party transcript provider, to process all official transcript requests for our students and alumni. Official transcript requests are submitted online and can be delivered in either an electronic or paper format. Electronic official transcripts cost $5.00 per copy, plus an additional fee for mailed paper copies. A debit or credit card is required to place your order.

Important: Transcript orders are not held for the posting of future grades or for the conferral of degrees. Please make sure that your transcript is current before placing your order. You can do this by viewing your unofficial transcript on Web4.

How to Place Your Transcript Order

For current students, the preferred method for ordering transcripts is to make your request through Web4. Web4 will match your account with the transcript request for easy, fast processing.

Once logged into Web4, go to the Student tab, click on Student Records, and then select the Official Academic Transcript Request link.

You can order your transcript directly from Parchment.

You'll need your contact information (including an email address), Social Security number, date of birth, and approximate years of attendance.

Official transcripts must be ordered online. 

If you are a current student and you have access to Web4, log in and access the official transcript request page from the "Student" tab, select "Student Records," and then click on the "Official Academic Transcript Request" link.

If you are a former student and you do not have access to Web4, you will order your transcript directly through Parchment. You will need your contact information, including an email address, Social Security number, date of birth, and approximate years of attendance.

You can have your transcript delivered to the university or organization, or directly to yourself, by one of the methods below:

  1. Electronic transcript, a secure, digitally signed PDF sent to the recipient (most popular)
  2. Paper copy, sent by U.S. Postal Service or by FedEx (additional cost)
  3. Paper copy, picked up at the Registrar's Office in the Anthony Student Services building during regular business hours. A photo ID is required to pick up the transcript to verify your identity.

It is your responsibility to verify that the recipient will accept delivery of an electronic PDF transcript.

There are two ways that you can check the status of your request.

  1. Emails will be sent to your email address (as provided to us) each time the status of your order changes.
  2. Login to Parchment (via Web4 or Parchment) and click "Order Status" at the top of the screen. Here you can view the status of every transcript you have ordered from Fitchburg State University.

An electronic transcript is typically sent within 60-90 minutes. Some transcripts (such as records with holds or records prior to 2000) may require longer processing time.

Yes. Students can place a pick-up order request online. By doing this, you will be notified when your transcript is available for pick-up.

Please request an electronic transcript to be sent to your personal email address. This PDF can then be directly uploaded to your ELAR profile. Any questions regarding the uploading of transcripts to the ELAR profile should be directed to the Center for Excellence in Education.

Important Notice for National Student Clearinghouse Requesters

Please note that the Registrar's Office will fulfill all orders previously placed with the National Student Clearinghouse. All new orders must be placed with Parchment using the methods listed above.
