Our Faculty

Our faculty is friendly and supportive. 90% of our faculty have earned the highest degree available in their academic track.

Our average class size is 21 students, with a student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1. This provides a healthy academic environment where you can get one-to-one interaction with professors.

World Integrated Nations Club (WIN)

World Integrated Nations Club (WIN) is an international student group that provides cultural adjustment support, as well as fun social and cultural events such as International Night, Chinese New Year celebration, International Food Fest, movie nights and more.

International students from all over the world come together to organize trips to Boston, New York City, Washington DC, etc.

Each semester, WIN looks forward to welcoming new international students to the Falcon family.

Our Programs

We offer both masters and bachelor’s degrees in arts, sciences and specialized professional programs. With more than 30 majors and nearly 40 concentrations, you’ll find a variety of career paths to choose from.

Tuition and Fees

We have competitive tuition and fee rates for international students compared to most universities nationwide. There are scholarship and graduate assistantship opportunities available, like the Dean’s Graduate student scholarship.

Public Transportation

Fitchburg State is within walking distance of the Fitchburg City Intermodal Center (train and local bus service station).

The Montachusett Regional Transit Authority (MRTA) is the public, nonprofit organization that provides public transportation to the Montachusett region, where we are located.

Local bus rides are free with your student ID card (OneCard). MRTA provides bus services to Whitney Field Mall, Wal-Mart, local movie theatres, etc.

MRTA also provides train service to Boston from Monday to Sunday.

Attraction

We’re located in the heart of historical New England, where you’ll get the best of both worlds: picturesque country landscapes and the bustle of city living.

Our campus is surrounded by local farms and other area attractions, including the Fitchburg Art Museum, the Mass Audubon wildlife preserve, and Wachusett Mountain for your skiing and hiking needs.

Go apple picking in the fall, explore mountain trails year-round, or enjoy many of the nearby restaurants. If you want to see what the largest city in Massachusetts has to offer, Boston is just 75 minutes away. You can get there with ease by taking a train out of downtown Fitchburg - just a five-minute walk from campus.

There’s no better way to have the complete New England experience.

Discover Opportunities

Here is a chance for you to gain international academic and career experience (through summer and semester internships).

After earning their degree, our international student alumni have gone on to be employed by big companies such as Apple, Disney, NASA, Morgan Stanley, Verizon, and Bank of America, to name a few.
