About This Event
Medea follows a brilliant foreign sorceress who sacrificed her home and family to bring great wealth and prestige to her husband, Jason, after she helped him win the Golden Fleece and built a life in Corinth. When Jason abandons Medea, and marries the younger princess of Corinth for political power, a betrayed Medea outsmarts her abusers and secures her own escape through her ruthless cunning, but with terrifying results.
- Walk-in auditions. No appointment required.
- Auditions are open to the entire Fitchburg State community and the general public.
- Auditioners are encouraged to bring a classical monologue or poem. Memorization is preferred, but not required.
- Performances will be from November 12, 13, 14, and 15th in Weston Auditorium at Fitchburg State University. Directed by Kelly Morgan.

Opportunity for Academic Credit
If students and/or community members wish to receive academic credit for participation in the production of Medea, then they can enroll in the 3 credit course Applied Acting. Please also reach out to director Kelly Morgan if you are interested in enrolling. (Enrollment is not required to participate in the show.)
