The university welcomed a delegation from the nation of Moldova to campus this week to demonstrate its groundbreaking police program.

Fitchburg State has been designated a Military Friendly institution every year since 2015.

“Stand Up Nation: Humor and Identity in Multiethnic America” will feature Associate Professor DeMisty Bellinger-Delfeld from the university's English Studies Department.

The spring programming continues with a screening of the documentary film "Stracci" on March 16.

"The faculty here have been the most helpful teachers I’ve ever had," said Fitchburg State senior Ayanna Beach. "It’s been really eye-opening and it’s made me believe in myself."

Fitchburg Police Chief Ernest Martineau told the police students they represent "the best and the brightest," and encouraged them to take this opportunity to be paid to acquire skills while pursuing their degrees.

The reception and tour was designed to show the wide economic and cultural impact the performing arts center will have on the city and region.

The white coat ceremony signifies a pivotal transition in the lives of the sophomore nursing students.

The funding will help raise awareness of the support services available to students on campus and in the community, in addition to providing direct assistance to students.

A student is placed on the Dean’s List for the semester if an average grade of 3.20 or better is attained, and the student is attending the university full time. The President’s List honors students who achieve a 3.75 average in each of three successive semesters.
