This is a Fitchburg State University Alert: The opening of the university has been delayed 90 minutes on Wednesday, March 4. Offices will open at 9:30 a.m., and classes that start before 9:30 a.m. are canceled.
Fitchburg State University has been on a decline path in consumption of fossil fuels since the COVID Pandemic. In addition, emissions have decreased by 37% since fiscal year 2007. The university works closely with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) and Massachusetts State College Building Authority (MSCBA) to stay on path with the Commonwealth’s goal of zero emissions by the year 2050.
