An electrical transformer on campus experienced water incursion last night, resulting in a campus-wide power outage. Capital Planning and Maintenance and other crews are on campus addressing the situation.
Because of the outage, the university is closed today, July 11. Only certain essential personnel are required to report to campus. Employees should contact their supervisors for clarification on whether they are essential in this situation.
The timeframe for mitigation is unclear. An update will be provided by email between 1 and 3 p.m. today.

Telephone System Upgrades Dec 2022
Because of technology upgrades, the university’s telephone system will be intermittently unavailable between 6:30 a.m. and noon on Wednesday, Dec. 28. For anyone having difficulty reaching the main University Police phone line during that time frame, please call 978.502.0081.
