About This Event

Fitchburg State students and faculty will present and participate at this event, located at the Abolitionist Park less than a half-mile from campus.

Offerings will include:

  • Professor Will Cortezia discussing the origin of the abolitionist movement and how it relates to social justice at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
  • Professor Michael Hoberman discusses a pathbreaking abolitionist text from 1789 at 11 a.m.
  • Professor Eric Budd discussing the origins of abolitionism at 11 a.m.
