“Build Better Humans”
Jeffrey Godin was a dedicated Professor of Exercise Science at Fitchburg State University for 25 years, where he led the strength and conditioning program for athletes that shaped countless students' lives.
As the founder of the Spartan SGX Certification program, he trained thousands of coaches worldwide under the motto “building better humans.” An elite athlete, he excelled in Ironman triathlons, ultrarunning, cycling, adventure racing, and more — his adventurous spirit and impact on others making him truly legendary.
This campaign will raise funds for a permanent memorial to Jeff on our campus to include a scholarship for a student in Exercise and Sport Science and the naming of the Strength and Conditioning lab.
