Fitchburg State will hold the long-awaited virtual commencement ceremony for the May 2020 graduates tonight at 6:30 p.m. The video celebrations, organized by academic school, will go live at 6:30 p.m.

Congratulations to the Class of 2020

"Be proud of what you have accomplished, for it is no small feat," President Lapidus told graduates. "Even in the best of times, the completion of your college degree is a journey rightly filled with difficulty - which is, of course, part of what makes it worthwhile. Finishing a degree means working successfully under pressure, challenging one’s limitations and broadening your horizons in pursuit of a lofty goal."

University holds 123rd Commencement Exercises

The University conferred more than 800 undergraduate and graduate degrees this spring, with the graduate commencement ceremony the largest in the institution’s history, bringing graduates from more than 20 states as well as Canada and Africa.

Honorary degrees to be awarded at commencement

Martin F. Connors Jr., the president and chief executive officer of Rollstone Bank & Trust, will be presented an honorary doctorate in commerce at the undergraduate commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 20 on the main quadrangle.

Asquino to receive President's Medal

Since arriving at Mount Wachusett Community College in 1987, Asquino has focused his efforts on improving curriculum, community outreach and economic development. Under his leadership the college enrollment has grown to over 12,000 credit and non-credit students.
