Biography

Debra Turner joins the  Department of Education as a non-tenure track Instructor after serving as an adjunct faculty for many years. Debra received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and Elementary Education and her Master’s in Education from Fitchburg State  University. Debra has been a special education/elementary education teacher for  36 years and has been a valued adjunct faculty member since 2014. She  encourages her students to think and work creatively to develop their own ways to teach literacy. She draws inspiration from fellow peers,  not only to teach literacy,  but also to foster a love  of reading in all students.
