She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practictioner. Prior to joining the staff of Health Services in 1999, she worked for four years in an urgent care in Springfield, MA.  Before obtaining her NP certification, she practiced for thirteen years as a hospital nurse.

Her professional interests include primary care for young adults and health promotion with a focus on stress reduction. When she is not working, she enjoys gardening and exploring new travel destinations.

She joined the staff of Health Services 2005. Prior to this she worked in Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Emergency Care settings.

Her professional interests are preventative medicine, anxiety/depression/stress related problems in college students. Her interests outside of work include spending time with her children and animals, painting, hiking and other outdoor activities.

She joined our staff in December of 2017. Prior to this she worked as a school nurse for fourteen years. She also worked in urgent care, pediatric adolescent primary care, and inpatient settings.

Outside of work she enjoys gardening and spending time with her children and grandchild.

She joined the department of Student Health Services in 2017 as our Administrative Assistant. Prior to this she worked in a multi-physician medical practice as a medical assistant and most recently an intake coordinator for a mental health practice.

Her professional interests include medical record compliance, providing support to staff and students, and participating in educational events and projects.

On her time off Sara enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and interior design.
