Lillian Tater Rededication Ceremony of the Children's Literature Collection

Please join the Amelia V. Gallucci-Cirio Library and the University community as we honor the life, career, and enduring legacy of Professor Emerita Lillian A. Tater (English).

Oval-shaped, black-and-white photograph depicting seated woman with short dark hair facing the camera dressed in mid-20th century styled patterned vest with a checkered design over a light-colored blouse.

Exactly fifty years to the day since the original dedication, we gather to celebrate a woman who defined the spirit of our institution for over a quarter-century. A proud 1932 alumna of the first Fitchburg State Teachers College degree class, a Harvard-educated scholar, and a beloved mentor, Professor Tater’s devotion to her students continues to inspire.
