has self-published a book entitled: “The History of Vocational Education in Massachusetts: A Model for the Nation”. The book covers the establishment of the Governor William L. Douglas Commission that resulted in the first state supported vocational education system, through the role in WWI, the Great Depression, and WWII, the Vocational Education Act of 1963 and its amendments, and the challenges and attacks on the Massachusetts vocational education system through the 1970's. The book presents the early leaders who nationally impacted the growth and development of vocational education. The book contains many references on the role Fitchburg State played in the early development of Vocational education in Massachusetts.
