I need antivirus software on my computer.

Fitchburg State University provides the enterprise versions of McAfee VirusScan and McAfee Antispyware for campus-owned computers. Antivirus and anti-spyware software provides excellent protection from malicious applications that can damage computers and compromise networks. These enterprise versions of the software are available at no charge to students. Faculty and staff are allowed to install the McAfee software on a single home computer that is used for campus-related work.

Active/up-to-date antivirus software must be installed on any computer accessing the Fitchburg State University network. Information Technology's goal is to protect both the campus network and the individual from harmful malware infections. For this reason, the network can be scanned for computers not in compliance with the antivirus policy and individual computers can be denied access to the network until they meet university specifications. The Help Desk is available to help anyone install and maintain these free VirusScan and anti-spyware applications and encourages everyone to be safe in the Internet and network environments.

I have pop-ups and a slow computer.
