Peer Mentoring at Fitchburg State

Peer mentors are fellow students here to provide academic and social support to new students enrolled in the First Year Experience seminar at Fitchburg State University. Peer mentors lead a variety of activities throughout the year to help new students learn about campus resources, participate in campus social events, and develop effective study strategies.

Peer Mentor Profiles

Austin

Austin is a senior psychology major; he is the peer mentor for Dr. Chisunka's FYE section.

Joey

Joey is a junior business major and the peer mentor for Dr. Marr's FYE section.

Ryan is a senior criminal justice major and the peer mentor for Dr. Garofoli's FYE section.

Tallie is a senior Earth Science major; she is the peer mentor for the Gear Up program and Dr. Cortezia's FYE section.

Jaly

Jaly is a senior English major and the peer mentor for Dr. Howard's FYE section.

Emily is a junior elementary education major and the peer mentor for Dr. Krieser's FYE section. Emily is also a peer tutor for the education math courses in the Math Center.

Fall 2019 Office Hours: Mondays 12:30 - 1:30 and 4:00 - 5:00 pm, third floor of Hammond (outside the Tutor Center)

Heisha is a senior biology major and the peer mentor for Dr. Harvey's sections of FYE.
