Placement Testing - Directions to Hammond Hall

Where is Placement Testing on campus?

Follow the directions to Fitchburg State University.

From Main Street, take a left at the Dunkin Donuts onto North Street. You will pass the Fitchburg Fire Station on the right and then the Fitchburg State University Recreation Center will be on your left. When you are at the four way intersection you will see, on your right, a big, red, brick, curved building with a glass front tower (Hammond Building). That building is where Placement Testing will be conducted.

See the Campus Map for more directions.

Placement Testing - Hammond Hall

All placement testing for current students and incoming freshmen/transfer students is held in two locations in Hammond Hall:

  • Library Instruction Lab on the first floor of the library, Room 101
  • Tutor and Testing Center on the third floor of Hammond Hall, room 306

When a reservation is made to reserve a seat at an upcoming placement test, the specific location of the test and time of the test is given.

Hammond Hall is located on the corner of North and Pearl Streets. Enter the building from the street level glass tower and proceed to the first floor library. The testing lab is on the far left side of the library.
