This interactive session will encourage participants to examine what “student success” means to their institution and the kinds of governance and leadership required to successfully coordinate campus efforts and guide usage of Navigate to support those efforts.  The University of New Hampshire will lead this discussion by sharing our journey to establish a steering committee charged with answering these questions and coordinating different student success initiatives in a multi-campus institution with widely distributed responsibility for student success.  We will be sharing our successes and challenges along the way and will encourage participants to share your experiences.

Coordination: Alerts and Cases (PowerPoint)

This session will cover the current alert structure in place at Norwich University, as well as provide a detailed discussion of four existing alert workflows: financial aid, attendance, emotional wellness and 14 day non-participation. Additionally, the session will discuss the University’s plans to leverage new alert features and expand collaborations with the Academic Advising Council.

Fitchburg State University has experienced very positive faculty engagement with Navigate. This session will look back at the various tools that we have used to onboard faculty and will also provide a summary of how faculty are currently utilizing the system. Time will be allotted for our colleagues in the audience to share their experiences in engaging faculty.

Approaches to Training and Documentation (PowerPoint)

Advisors, Professors and Students oh my!   Wondering where to even start with documentation and training for EAB Navigate?   This session will discuss the steps UNH took to prepare for the initial rollout of EAB Navigate to users on campus.  We’ll discuss our approach on training, what documentation was necessary and what resources we used.  We’ll be sure to discuss items of success as well as those that failed.  Open dialog will be encouraged so that UNH may learn from others as well.

Advanced Search 201: Categories and Tags (PowerPoint)

This session will review how Fitchburg State University uses Categories to track important student populations and potential risk factors. Such items as pre-enrollment data and various academic and non-academic attributes will be discussed, as well as how Tags are used to track student cohorts. The session will then be opened up to the audience in order to learn how other institutions are using Categories and Tags to move the needle on student success.

Strategic Use of Analytics

This session will provide an in-depth look at the Population Health Dashboards and the Intervention Effectiveness tool. Learn how to assess the health of selected student populations and identify intervention opportunities using key academic performance metrics like GPA and credit completion.
