Job Board Employer Help Sheet

Thank you for your interest in employing Fitchburg State students and alumni. Our employment services involve a cooperative effort with College Central Network, Inc. where employers can register online and post jobs to our students and alumni and search resumes, both for no charge.

Who Is Eligible?

  • All employers will pass through the Career Center for approval.
  • Approved employers may post full-time, part-time, internships, co-op, seasonal/volunteer, free-lance and work-study jobs.
  • The Career Center reserves the right to review and approve your posting before it is displayed to students and alumni.

Step 1

You must register and receive a password from the Career Center to post jobs or search resumes.

How Do I Register?

  1. Visit the College Central website.
  2. Click on REGISTER.
  3. Enter registration information (include all required fields) with an email address so that we may contact you.
  4. Once your registration is approved, the Career Center will call or email you with your password.

Step 2

Using our Job Board and Resume Services.

How do I post a job after I have registered?

  1. Click Post A Job.
  2. Enter your ID and the Password you received from the Career Center.

Please follow these additional steps if posting a job for the first time.

  1. After you have logged in, you will see a Job Posting Form that is partially completed with the Company Name/Address/Company Description information from your registration.
  2. Please complete the Job Posting Form (be sure to complete all required fields, select majors and areas of interest and do a complete job description).
  3. Click Save My Job Posting.
  4. You will receive confirmation that your posting has been saved. You will be asked if you would like to post another job, return to the list of jobs that you posted, or leave the site.

Please follow these additional steps if you have previously posted a job.

  1. Click on Post A New Job after you have logged in under your ID and Password.
  2. Complete the Job Posting Form (be sure to complete all required fields, select majors and areas of interest and do a complete job description).
  3. Name/Address/Company Information from your registration form is automatically filled out for you on every posting.
  4. Click Save My Job Posting.

You will receive confirmation that your posting has been saved. You will be asked if you would like to post another job, return to the list of jobs that you posted or to leave the site.
