University, Sentinel & Enterprise co-sponsor debate

Fitchburg State University and the Sentinel & Enterprise are co-sponsoring a debate on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. in Kent Recital Hall in the Conlon Fine Arts Building, 367 North St., between the four candidates vying to become the next mayor of Fitchburg. President Lapidus will moderate the debate.

Candidates Andrew Couture, Stephen DiNatale, Miguel Fleitas and Stephen Sandrelli will answer questions posed by a panel including Sentinel & Enterprise Editor Charles St. Amand, Professor Joshua B. Spero, and Student Trustee Stephany Infante.

The debate will also be shown live on Fitchburg Access Television and the Sentinel & Enterprise website.

The city’s preliminary election on Tuesday, Sept. 22 will winnow the field of candidates down to two finalists who will be on the general election ballot on Nov. 3.
