Fitchburg State, Sentinel & Enterprise co-sponsor municipal debates

Fitchburg State University and the Sentinel & Enterprise newspaper are co-sponsoring a series of debates for citywide elections this fall in Fitchburg and Leominster. The debates will be moderated by Fitchburg State President Robert V. Antonucci.

Leominster Mayor Dean J. Mazzarella and City Council President Susan Chalifoux Zephir will debate at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the John R. Tata Auditorium at Leominster City Hall. Panelists will include Sentinel & Enterprise Editor Charles St. Amand, Fitchburg State Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Paul Weizer and Student Government Association President Mallory-Anne Perron.

The candidates in contested races for the Fitchburg City Council and Fitchburg School Committee will meet on at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Kent Recital Hall in the Conlon Fine Arts Building, 367 North St.

Candidates for other Leominster municipal races debated on Oct. 2 in Leominster City Hall.
