Chemical talk explores marijuana’s cancer-fighting ability
Fitchburg State University will host the Central Massachusetts section of the American Chemical Society on Wednesday, Sept. 25, including a tour of the new science building and a presentation by faculty member Mathangi Krishnamurthy discussing marijuana’s ability to fight cancer.
Dr. Krishnamurthy, assistant professor of chemistry, will present “Finding New Cures for Cancer: From ‘Pot’ to Pill” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Presidents’ Hall in the Mazzaferro Center, 291 Highland Ave.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a tour of the new science building and a social hour in the third floor lobby of the new facility at 333 North St.
