Visit the Hammond Hall Gallery exhibit of the work of artist Keith Morris Washington Sept. 3 through Oct. 11. Washington will discuss his work in the gallery at an opening reception on Friday, Sept. 20 at 3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Washington is an artist and professor at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design whose work includes landscape paintings and portraits. His art investigates meaning and metaphor through landscape and portraiture. These landscapes and full-body portraits explore memory, identity and social themes, that are latent and often obscured by visible features, cultural (mis)understanding and time.
