Call for Performers and Artists

11:59pm Online Event

About This Event

It’s WOMEN IN THE ARTS 2021! The Women’s History Month planning committee is looking for singers, instrumentalists, dancers, poets, actors, visual artists, and others to perform and/or display work in celebration of women for this year’s Women’s History Month. This spring, Women in the Arts will be held entirely virtually, at 4pm on Thursday March 18.

We are seeking acts or works that involve women-identified creators (composer, writer, artist) or performers. Participants need not be women – all genders are welcome to perform works by women. Visual artworks will be presented as a slide-show, and other performances will be video submissions.

If you would like to be part of WOMEN IN THE ARTS 2021, please contact Jonathan Harvey at jharvey8@fitchburgstate.edu before midnight on Friday February 26. Please include the following information:

  • A short description of your act or artistic display

  • A short rationale for including your piece in the event (for example, a musical piece composed by a woman, or that you yourself are a woman artist)

  • If a performance or presentation, estimated length (should be less than ten minutes)

Digital files of artworks and video performances will then need to be submitted by midnight on Thursday March 11.
