About This Event

Hair is an extension of our bodies and within every culture, it communicates: representation, identity and diversity. The discussion includes the linkage of black hair to slavery, protective styles, protective hair covering (such as durags, wraps, and bonnets), the challenges within professional work settings, Crown Act and more. The program will be presented by Amanda Egesi and Tremaine Pinnock.
