Apply by the March 15 priority deadline for incoming graduate students to receive your visa. Applications will be accepted through August 1 for the fall 2018 semester.

Do I have to have my transcript evaluated?

All foreign transcripts must be formally evaluated before we are able to make an admissions decision. Graduate applicants are required to submit a “general” evaluation.

What types of standardized tests do you require?

Graduate applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit testing to demonstrate English proficiency; except for those who have earned a high school, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree from an institution in the United States OR applicants from Great Britain, Ghana, Guyana, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, Canada, or any English speaking country of the Caribbean.

For all applicants, the TOEFL or IELTS is accepted - the minimum passing score for the TOEFL is 79 (Internet-based) or 550 (paper-based). The minimum passing IELTS result is a 6.5.

All exams must be completed before an admission decision can be made.

Do I have to take an English proficiency exam?

The TOEFL or IELTS is required of all international applicants with the exception of those who have earned a high school, associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree from an institution in the United States OR applicants from Great Britain, Ireland, Australia, or Canada. The minimum passing test score is 550 (paper-based test), 213 (computer-based test) or 79 (Internet based test). The minimum passing score for the IELTS examination is 6.5.
