History Major with Secondary Education

History majors can pursue a Secondary Education minor that equips them with the skills to teach history at the secondary level. Those who intend to teach history in a public high school should pursue the Secondary Education Licensure Track minor. Those who intend to teach history in a private school, or who do not intend to teach, may pursue the Secondary Education Non-Licensure Track minor. Both minor tracks can increase your marketability as a professional by enhancing your abilities to share information with others and work effectively with diverse populations.

History majors pursuing a Secondary Education minor must complete all the coursework for the History major as well as the coursework for the appropriate Secondary Education minor track.
