Construction Management Minor

The minor in Construction Management prepares students with basic knowledge and skills essential for construction management practice. Students are exposed to a planned sequence of courses preparing them to assume effective roles in construction projects design and implementation, including ability to prepare construction documents, project schedules, perform site inspection, manage resources and liaison with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.


ENGT 1020 Engineering Graphics (3 credits)
ENGT 2035 Building Construction Systems (4 credits)
ENGT 3035 OSHA: Safety and Risk Management (3 credits)
ENGT 4010 Project Scheduling (3 credits)
Two Construction Electives (6 credits)

Choose two electives from the following:

ENGT 3028 Estimating and Bidding (3 credits)
ENGT 3005 Heavy/Highway Construction Systems* (3 credits)
*requires prerequisite ENGT 2030 Materials Testing and Quality Control
ENGT 4035 Site Planning and Land Development (3 credits)
