The Applied Communication Studies concentration is designed to provide a solid foundation in the theories and concepts of communication which can be applied within business, industry, government, nonprofit, and health services, as well as the pursuit of advanced education.

MAT and GRE exams are no longer required for admission

Program at a Glance


Completed applications are reviewed on a rolling admission basis. Admissions requirements are as follows:

  • An official transcript of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Professional resume
  • Official transcripts for graduate level course work from a regionally accredited institution (if applicable)
  • Graduate application and fee


Online and on-campus courses offered in the evenings with some day courses during the summer.
