Classrooms today are full of diversity - in population, resources and academic abilities. This course will assist pre-service teachers, current teachers and other professionals in their application of the depth and scope of various issues of multiculturalism affecting English language learners, public schools, and literacy in the United States today. This course is an introduction into the challenges that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) students face in schools on a daily basis.
