The designation is presented in recognition of the University's academic policies and compliance; admissions and orientation; culture and commitment; financial aid and assistance; graduation and career; and military student support and retention. The University was found to exceed all of those standards in this year’s survey.

Among the University’s academic offerings is a bridge program for military-trained LPNs to receive their Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. Graduates of that program are prepared to meet the societal healthcare needs in a variety of settings, with respect for diversity, social responsibility, and a commitment to excellence in nursing care emphasized.
