Each Fitchburg State employee is provided with an fitchburgstate.edu email account, which uses your Falcon Key as a login. Email can be accessed through Microsoft Outlook or Entourage, as well as through the web at http://mail.fitchburgstate.edu. Mediated ClassroomsClassrooms at Fitchburg State include a combination of the following resources: computers (Mac and/or Windows), laptop hookups, projectors, SMART Boards, sound systems, document cameras, DVD players, Sympodiums, Accordent Capture Stations and more. Self-Service Banner (Web4)Self-Service Banner (Web4) provides access to student record systems and reporting, class lists, grades, vendor information and more. Departmental Technology PurchasesThe Technology Department maintains a list of recommended equipment and price lists for institutional purchases on our Departmental Technology Purchases page. Equipment Purchases for Personal UseThere are several technology related vendors who offer discounts to our employees. A list of these vendors and their contact information can be found on our Faculty/Staff Hardware Purchases page. Software Purchases for Personal UseAs part of our Microsoft Campus Agreement, the university is able to offer software to our employees at a deeply discounted price. Information regarding the available software and the terms of the sale can be found on our Software Purchases for Personal Use page. Print ServicesPrint Services, located in the Klondike Service Center, offers black and white and color copying, scanning, business cards, graphic design, flyers, signs and brochures. BlackboardBlackboard is a web-based classroom management system used for assignments, grades, podcasts, discussion boards, OneCard fund management, Connect-ED management and announcements. The system uses your Falcon Key as a login. To open Blackboard, visit blackboard.fitchburgstate.edu. J Drive/I DriveEach staff member has their own J drive, which is a network drive that can be accessed anywhere on the campus network. Some staff may also have access to an I drive which can be used by an entire department. Telephone ServiceUniversity employees have their own voice mail boxes, which they can check on and off campus. Internet AccessAll institutionally-owned employee computers have access to the Internet, and all academic buildings on campus have wireless access. Personally-owned devices need to go through the eNac remediation process to access the campus network. Visit the Network/Wireless Access page for more information. Help DeskThe 24/7 Call Center offers support by phone at (978) 665-4500, toll-free at (866) 520-7131 and by email at helpdesk@fitchburgstate.edu. There is also walk-in service available in Conlon Hall, Room 236 (Campus Map). View our Hours of Operation page for a schedule of walk-in hours. Connect-EDConnect-ED is an automatic calling and email service used by Fitchburg State to notify the campus community of important announcements such as weather closures or delays, university opening and closing activities, and campus and regional emergencies. OneCardAll employees receive a OneCard, which is the official university ID card. It provides authorized access to the Ricoh Multi-Functional devices, office spaces, the Library, labs, meal plans, vending machines, and the Recreation Center. The OneCard is used as your identification when purchasing a campus parking permit. It can also be used to receive discounts from local merchants. OneCard’s are distributed through the OneCard Office located in the Anthony Building Room 118.
