Dr. Beverley Hollingsworth
Dr. Beverley Hollingsworth teaches in the Business Administration Department at Fitchburg State University. She currently teaches Accounting and Human Resource Management. Her current research interests include Accounting, Finance and Economics. Her most recent work in the area of Microeconomics is a study of the Growth of Defined Contribution Plans, published in The Journal of Business and Economics Research, October 2010.
Dr. Hollingsworth joined the REDI in 2010. Her first REDI Research Project, "Bringing Broadband to North Central Massachusetts," started in early 2011. In Joint research coordination with Dr. Jane Xinxin Zhang, Dr. Hollingsworth has been conducting research analysis and helping the Massachusetts Broadband Institute (MBI) and Montachusett Regional Planning Commission to assess the impact of high-speed Internet access to the unserved and increasing the usage and availability to the under-served communities throughout North Central Massachusetts, as part of MBI's greater outreach and development of the Commonwealth -- at the Massachusetts Governor's initiative.
