Duxbury Braille Translator

The Duxbury Braille Translator (DBT) is used by almost all of the world's major Braille publishers to convert documents from print into Braille. This software can produce contracted and uncontracted literary Braille, mathematical symbols, and technical Braille. DBT can also translate documents into foreign languages, including Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Arabic. With advanced notice, the Disability Services staff is pleased to convert documents into Braille, allowing Braille readers access to the same materials as their sighted peers. Kurzweil 3000
Kurzweil 3000 is a reading, writing and learning software for students, including individuals with dyslexia, learning difficulties, or those who are English Language Learners. With the aid of visual and auditory feedback, the software helps students keep up with assigned reading, learn critical study skills and successfully complete writing projects and tests. The software can access virtually any information, whether it is printed, electronic, or on the Web. It then reads the words aloud to the student in clear, humanlike, synthetic speech, while a patented dual highlighting feature adds visual reinforcement. Co:Writer is software program that helps struggling writers, write their papers, or emails. Co:Writer will intelligently predict word choices based on grammar and context. This software uses a universal design approach to learning.
