Using the Library
The library offers a wide range of services for Fitchburg State students, faculty and staff, whether you are on campus or in our one of our distance learning and extended campus programs. This includes: Borrowing materials, Distance Learning, ERes - Electronic Reserves, Extended Campus, Faculty Publications, Group Study Room, Instruction, Interlibrary Loans, Librarian Liaisons, Physical Reserves, Reference, Thesis Binding, WILL (Ma. state colleges and universities) and Academic Research Collaborative (ARC) cross-borrowing programs.
Visitors from outside the university are welcome and have access to use the library and the following services:
- In-library use of our print collections; access to the Archives and Special Collections is by appointment only.
- Visitor access to use our reference computers and their resources during specified time periods.
- Visitor access to WiFi on the first floor only.
- Borrowing privileges are available for anyone 18 or older by filling out an application form for a guest borrower card at the Circulation Desk and paying the Special ID Card fee if applicable.
