Certificate Overview

The purpose of the Not-for-Profit Management Certificate Program is to provide participants with the skills and abilities necessary to meet the challenges of managing within the complex and competitive arena of not-for-profit organizations. At the completion of the certificate program, participants will have the unique ability to integrate fundamental management strategies with the not-for-profit organization’s mission and values. The certificate program will be completed in fifteen (15) course credits.

Admissions

Completed applications are reviewed on a rolling admission basis. Admissions requirements are as follows:

  • An official transcript of a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • Professional Resume
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts for graduate level course work from a regionally accredited institution (if applicable)
  • A personal interview may be requested by the program chair or student
  • Graduate application and fee

Delivery

Online and on-campus courses offered in the evenings with some day courses during the summer.

Time Frame

While you can complete the program in as little as 18 months, you have 6 years to complete the program.

Program Highlights

  • Certificate offers two distinct tracks. Students can tailor the program to fit their career/professional development needs.
  • Credit for MGMT courses may be applied to an MBA if the courses are taken within 6 years of being accepted into the MBA program.
